Join us in creating the next generation of engineers

Why Donate?

IEEE strives to make a difference in the lives of children who want to find a future as an engineer and do not see, or cannot even get on, the path to creating a new future for themselves.

We believe the most transformative way to impact our scholarship students is to provide the full residential experience, immersing them in the collegiate atmosphere and allowing them to soak up their new future.

501(c)(3)

IEEE is a non-profit 501-C-3 organization so your donation is tax-deductible. You can donate as many dollars as you would like; any donor who donates 10 spots will be invited to be a reader, if they would like to join that group!

We invite you to contribute to this fund, and to the lives of these future engineers!

Join us in making a difference in the lives of students like these by donating right now to our scholarship fund. Every dollar raised here increases our fund. If we end up with enough funds for any whole number of spots and only part of the last spot is funded, we will round it up and include that spot too! We will round it up, so every dollar counts!

TESI Scholarships ensure that even more students can attend our program.  They are open to those who are interested and qualify.  Make a difference now.

When I won the scholarship, I was ecstatic because from reading the description and reviews of the camp, I knew that it would allow me to enhance my love for engineering while experiencing all of the different disciplines and honing in on one to peruse as a career. During the program, I learned the basics of engineering such as soldering and simple circuitry. As the days went on, our classes got more advanced and more specific in the types of engineering they were highlighting. One of my favorite activities was building the smart cars because it allowed me to combine our ability to code Arduino with our mechanical engineering skills of building the body of the car. Another exciting activity that we did was the mars colony discussion. This activity was enjoyable for me because it allowed me to communicate with my peers Continue reading

and to express my ideas in a simulated engineering job setting. Before I attended the summer camp, I was not sure if I was cut out to be an engineer. But after my wonderful experience at the IEEE Try Engineering Summer Institute, I am sure that this will be the right career path for me. Now that I have experienced all of the disciplines of engineering, I am better educated in the field as a whole, and I have all of the information I need to choose a specific field of engineering to have a career in. To the people that funded my scholarship, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart. The only reason that I was able to experience a great city in California and become more independent while staying in college dorms is because of you. The IEEE association has given me a priceless experience that will stay with me for the rest of my life. The new friends that I made and the trust that was established between the RA’s and TA’s is not comparable to anything else. I am immensely grateful for this experience and I hope that other people attend this camp to get the same feeling of joy, excitement, and accomplishment.
