Personal Growth Through Engineering
At the IEEE TryEngineering Summer Institute, we believe engineering education should build more than technical skills. Our engineering summer program for teens is designed to help high school students grow as confident communicators, creative problem-solvers, and future leaders—making it an ideal college prep experience for high school students interested in STEM.
Empowering teens to lead, collaborate, and thrive

Communication & Confidence
Through hands-on projects and team challenges, students learn to speak up, share ideas, and present with clarity. Whether they’re pitching a product or leading a design brainstorm, campers build communication skills that support academic success and personal growth.
Leadership & Teamwork
As part of our STEM leadership camp, every student takes on a leadership role within their team, learning how to delegate, collaborate, and guide others toward a shared goal. These experiences help teens discover their strengths, build resilience, and understand the value of diverse perspectives.

Self-Discovery & Purpose
Our supportive environment encourages students to step outside their comfort zones and explore who they are—both as learners and as leaders. With mentorship from instructors and feedback from peers, students leave camp with a stronger sense of direction and self-worth.
