Scholarship Overview
The IEEE TryEngineering Summer Institute Scholarship is a need-based scholarship that offers financial assistance to students interested in attending the TryEngineering Summer Institute during the summer of 2026.
Eligibility
- Applicants must be rising 9th through 12th graders for the 2026-2027 school year
- Selection criteria will include the following areas: demonstrated financial need, personal student essay, and letter(s) of recommendation
- The scholarship is only available to United States citizens, who reside in the U.S.
- International applicants and children of IEEE staff members are not eligible

The scholarship application opens early January 2026. All components of the application must be submitted no later than March 11, 2026.
