Our guest is Dr. Erik Brewer
Dr. Erik Brewer is a lecturer of Biomedical Engineering and Chair of Innovation and External Partnerships at Rowan University in Glassboro, New Jersey. His research interests include biomaterials and drug delivery, with an emphasis on translational research, commercialization, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Brewer is also a Polymer Scientist at a medical device start-up, ReGelTec, Inc., based in Baltimore, MD, which is currently beginning clinical studies. He received his B.S. in 2007 and his Ph.D. in 2014, both in Chemical Engineering and from Drexel University. Prior to joining Rowan, he held a post-doc research position at Merck Research Labs in West Point, PA, while also having previously interned at MedImmune (now a subsidiary of AstraZeneca), Sunoco, DuPont, and Cognis.
